Innovative hydrogen-based heating systems providing clean and efficient heating solutions for sustainable port building operations.
The recent merger of the ports of Bruges and Antwerp has resulted in one of the largest ports in Europe, driven by a strong ambition to become one of the most sustainable port. One of the primary concerns is the reduction of CO2 emissions, especially from buildings.
PIONEERS coordinator Port of Antwerp-Bruges is exploring the feasibility of using hydrogen as a heating source for buildings by implementing a Hydrogen Heating System. The main goal is to acquire and disseminate knowledge related to the safety and regulatory aspects of using hydrogen for heating purposes.
