Innovative solutions for sustainable port operations through the PIONEERS project.
In the Venlo region, most of the transportation within the port area is carried out by heavy diesel-powered vehicles, leading to huge local air and noise pollution. To address this environmental concern, PIONEERS is taking new steps towards cleaner and zero-emission solutions through the electric green last mile (eGLM).
PIONEERS consortium partners FIER, Venlo, and Supply Chain Valley aim to introduce 100% electric terminal tractors to contribute to the further upscaling of the electrification of logistical operations and its supporting infrastructure.
