AI-powered forecasting system for container transport demand, enabling better planning and resource allocation.
Knowing in advance the number of trucks needed within the port operations is a very valuable information for planning and prioritising the inbound and outbound truck movements, especially in small and medium transportation companies. Furthermore, improving the efficiency of container truck transportation is a step towards the greening of ports.
PIONEERS consortium partners Port de Barcelona and Mosaic Factor are working on the development of a container transport forecasting system. This system uses advanced technology to predict truck demand and optimise truck fleets operating within the Port of Barcelona.
